Crab in Padang Sauce


Ingredients:
  • 4 crabs, each about 250g, cleaned and halved
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch, mixed with a little bit of water
  • 250ml water
  • 3 tbsp oil

Blended Ingredients:
  • 15 curly red chilies
  • 8 shallots
  • 6 garlic
  • 1 tsp salt

Other ingredients:
  • 4 cm ginger, pounded
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 6 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Instructions
  • Stir fry blended sauce with ginger in oil in Maxim Quattro until they are fragrant. Add water and other ingredients. Let it boil.
  • Add in the crabs and mix well. Close the Quattro and cook with small fire until the crabs are cooked and the crab absorbs the sauce.
  • After the sauce is boiled, add in the cornstarch a little by little while stirring to make the sauce thicker.
  • Serve hot.
