Indonesian Chicken Satay


Ingredients:
  • 2 chicken breast, deboned
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 24 bamboo skewers

Blended ingredients:
  • 5 cloves of shallots
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 2cm tumeric
  • 1 tsp water from tamarind
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • salt, as needed
  • sugar, as needed

Peanut sauce:
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 100g peanuts, without shells, blended till fine
  • 1 tbsp sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 200ml water

Instructions:
  • Cut chicken as you like. Preferably 1x2x2cm.
  • Marinade chicken in the blended ingredients and the vegetable oil for 15-30 minutes.
  • Thread about 3-4 chicken cubes onto the bamboo skewers.
  • Grill the satay on MAXIM HAPPYCOOK until they are cooked. Grill for 2-3 minutes on each sides.
  • Satay Sauce: Stir fry garlic on MAXIMDUTCH OVEN until fragrant. Add in the rest of the ingredients and cook till it boils.
  • Serve the peanut sauce over the chicken satay.

Note: (if using bamboo, soak for 1 hour prior to threading)
